Station 30 is located in the Borough of Thomasville. It is the only active F.D.L.C. station in the 1.5 square mile borough. In 2004 the F.D.L.C. took over firefighting operations in the borough. The station itself was the home to Hose Co. 1 of the Thomasville Volunteer Fire Dept. Station 30's response area is a mixture of 60% residential, 20% commercial and 20% industrial. The current engine used by Engine Co. 30 is one of the few pieces of apparatus that boasts a different color scheme. This engine originally saw service as Engine 306 of the Thomasville Volunteer Fire Dept. After the F.D.L.C. took over operations, the engine was turned over to the F.D.L.C. and received the signature white stripe, replacing the existing black stripe. Members of Engine30 were inspired by the popular Disney movie "Pirates of the Caribbean" and nicknamed the engine "The Black Pearl". On average Engine 30 responds to 750 runs a year.
