Listed below are some of the incidents that the FDLC have operated at in Liberty County and surrounding jurisdictions.
11/22 KANSAS ST (MATTROPOLIS) ALL HANDS
Firefighters in Mattropolis were dispatched at 1:12 PM on Thanksgiving to a working kitchen fire on Kansas St. When Engine 23 and Truck 23 arrived, they found heavy smoke venting from the rear of the house. One attack line was stretched through the front door to the rear kitchen. Meanwhile members of Truck 23 began venting the structure. Firefighters were able to quickly bring the blaze under control with minimal extension. The cause of the blaze was determined to be a grease fire.

10/8 MAIN ST (MATTROPOLIS) MVA
At 3:12 PM, Engine 23 was dispatched to Main St and Passaic St for a motor vehicle crash involving a motorcycle. Engine 23 assisted at the scene with patient care and applying speedy dry due to a fluid spill. Luckily the motorcyclist suffered non life threatening injuries and was transported to Mattropolis University Medical Center. Also operating at the scene was the Tri-County EMS and Liberty County PD.
9/30 WASHINGTON AVE (CARLTON HILL) 2ND ALARM
Firefighters in Division 5's Carlton Hill were dispatched to a working structure fire at 12:06 PM. When Engine 72 arrived on scene first, they located heavy smoke coming from the Subway at 225 Washington Ave. A hose was quickly deployed to the first floor. Upon arrival of Engine 5, they also stretched a hose to the first floor. As firefighters attacked the blaze, flames were able to quickly extend up the walls of the structure to the second floor. Firefighters struggled to bring the blaze under control and were forced to evacuate when flames flashed. After evacuating, firefighters began attacking the blaze via multiple hoses from the street. Flames would also extend up through the roof. Flames would consume the first and second floors, but firefighters were able to hold the blaze to the original fire building without extension. As firefighters were evacuating the structure, two were injured. Both would suffer minor injuries and would be released from the hospital after being treated. The cause of the incident was determined to be an electrical outlet.

8/15 LAVELLE ST (LIBERTY PARK) 2ND ALARM
At 01:49 AM, firefighters in Division 3 were dispatched to 115 Lavelle St in Liberty Park. Deputy 3 was first to arrive and confirmed a working house fire with flames showing out the front and "D" side windows on the first and second floors. The siding on 117 Lavelle St was starting to melt and catch. Engine 54 was the first piece of apparatus to arrive and quickly deployed a hose to make a defensive attack on the flames. Truck 83 arrived shortly after and began to vent 115 Lavelle. Flames however continued to rage and quickly spread to 117 Lavelle. Deputy 3 then requested a Second Alarm to the scene. Two ladder pipes and multiple hoses were deployed to douse the blaze. After a 3 hour battle, flames were finally doused and the fire was declared under control. Luckily the residents in 115 Lavelle had working smoke detectors that alerted them in time to make their escape. The residents of 117 Lavelle were also able to escape after being woken up by the commotion outside. No firefighters were injured at this incident. The cause of the fire was determined to be from an overloaded electrical outlet.

6/28 MUTUAL AID TO JAKELAND

6/3 STANLEY PL (CARLTON HILL) ALL HANDS
At 11:18 AM firefighters in Division 5 were dispatched to 316 Stanley Place in Carlton Hill for a working house fire. Crews found heavy fire on the first floor upon arrival. Multiple hoses were placed in operation and quickly doused the flames. Within 20 minutes of arrival, all visible fire was knocked down. Luckily flames did not extend up into the second floor and were contained to the first floor. Firefighters were able to determine the cause to be electrical. The incident was held to an All Hands assignment bringing Engines 72, 5, 30, 37, Trucks 5, 37, Rescue 5, Air 5, RAC 5, Battalions 24, 23 and Division 5. No firefighters or residents were injured at this incident.
4/21 CLINTON AVE (MATTROPOLIS) 3RD ALARM
At 10:16 PM firefighters in Division 3 were dispatched to 265 Clinton Ave for a working structure fire in a 3.5 story wood frame multiple family dwelling. Engine 79 was first to arrive on scene. Upon arrival, fire was observed on the first floor with heavy smoke pushing from the second and third floors on the "A" side of the building. Both exposure buildings on the "B" side and "D" side were also compromised due to the close proximity. Once Deputy Chief 3 Matthew Jordan arrived, he requested a 2nd Alarm to the scene. Engine 23's crew stretched a second line from Engine 79 to the second floor once they arrived. While Truck 23 was searching the first floor, Truck 83 began venting. Conditions however quickly deteriorated. Deputy Chief Jordan then ordered all firefighters to evacuate the structure immediately. As firefighters were exiting, a partial building collapse occurred. The front of the structure collapsed on to 6 firefighters who were in front of the building. A 3rd Alarm was then requested as firefighters rescued their injured comrades and attempted to bring the flames under control before flames spread to surrounding buildings. Multiple master streams and hoses were then placed in operation. The 6 injured firefighters were quickly rescued and then transported to Mattropolis University Medical Center. As flames extended into the "C" exposure and damaged the "B" exposure, it took firefighters over 2 hours to bring the flames under control. Thankfully all occupants of the structure were able to escape the building unharmed. Four of the injured firefighters suffered minor injuries. One firefighter suffered broken ribs and minor burns, and one firefighter suffered severe burns to his face and broken ribs. All are listed in stable condition. All units that operated on the scene were Engines 79, 23, 88, 59, 83, 34, 52, 85, 38, 54, Trucks 23, 83, 52, 25, 3, Rescue 3, Battalions 15, 11, 12 and Division 3.
3/24 FERRY ST (THOMASVILLE) ALL HANDS
At 11:15 AM, the firefighters in Division 5 were dispatched to a working house fire at 63 Ferry Street in Thomasville. Firefighters from Engine 30 were first to arrive on scene and stretched a hose to the first floor. Engine 37 established a water supply for Engine 30 and assisted with stretching a second hose into the home to the second floor. Truck 37 began a search on the first floor for any possible trapped occupants. When Truck 25 arrived, they sent their crew to the roof to vent and one member vented the first and second floor windows. Firefighters had a difficult time attacking the seat of the fire as conditions deteriorated rapidly. When Engine 59 arrived, firefighters stretched a third line into the rear of the home. All hands were put to work with Rescue 5 assigned as the FAST. At 12:36 PM, the fire was declared under control. Flames extended from the first floor up to the second floor and the attic. Firefighters were able to prevent the fire from spreading of damaging any exposure buildings. The blaze was held to the All Hands with Engines 30, 37, 59, 72, Trucks 37, 25, Rescue 5, RAC 5, Air 5, Battalions 23, 24 and Division 5.
