Station 23
215 State St, Mattropolis, NJ Station 23 is located in Mattropolis and houses Engine 23, Truck 23 and Deputy 3. The station itself was constructed in 1950 and was once the headquarters for the now defunct Mattropolis Fire Department. Station 23 is the busiest in the FDLC responding to over 5,000 runs a year. Their response area includes the Liberty County Courthouse and the New Jersey Naval Museum which is home to the WWII submarine USS Stingray SS-161. The logo of the USS Stingray is proudly displayed on the station patch. |
