Station 16
475 Sylvan Ave, Hudson Cliffs, NJ Station 16, located in Hudson Cliffs, houses Engine 16 and Rescue 4. The station itself was constructed in 1979 and was home to the now defunct Hudson Cliffs Volunteer Fire Dept. In 1997 the Hudson Cliffs Volunteer Fire Dept. was disbanded and the F.D.L.C. took over firefighting operations. Truck Company 16 operated out of this firehouse from 1997 until 2006. Once Station 15 in Ravenwood began operating, the ladder for the 19th Battalion was moved to a more central location at Station 15. This stations response area is mixed with residential 1.5 and 2.5 story homes, multi story residential and commercial hi-rises and industrial warehouses. Engine 16 responds to an average of 450 runs a year. Rescue 4 averages 1,200 runs a year. |
