Station 70 is located in the Township of Westfield. Engine 70 and Truck 70 are housed at Station 70 which is a 4 bay firehouse which was constructed in 1990 and was once home to the Westfield Volunteer Fire Department's Engine Co. 1, Hook & Ladder Co. 2, Hose Co. 3 and Emergency Squad 4. In 1999 the FDLC took over firefighting operations in the township. Westfield is 6.5 square miles and has a population of 16,900 residents. Most of the township is made up of single family private dwellings ranging from 1.5 to 2.5 floors. Station 70 responds to an average of 3,000 runs a year making it one of the busier of the stations in Division 1.
