These are some of the incidents that the F.D.L.C. have operated at in 2024.
1/7 RIVER RD 5TH ALARM (RADBURN)
At 1:06 PM, FDLC firefighters Platoon 3, Division 3 were dispatched to 14-32 River Rd in Radburn for a working fire at the "Economy Plumbing Supply". Engine 18, Engine 76, Engine 22, Engine 57, Truck 18, Truck 57, Rescue 3, Battalion 13, Battalion 14, Deputy 5, Air 5 and RAC 5 responded to the scene. Engine 18 and Truck 18 were first to arrive and found heavy fire in the 1 story commercial building. A second alarm would be requested by Deputy 3 bringing Engine 54, Engine 47, Engine 83, Truck 47, Truck 83 and Battalion 11 to the scene. Firefighters would have a difficult time attacking the blaze which would allow the flames to quickly consume the building and cause the roof to collapse. The incident would require a total of five alarms to the scene. Firefighters would remain on scene all through the night extinguishing hot spots from multiple master streams. Thankfully no firefighters were injured at this incident. At the time of the fire, the business was closed.
